Day six started in the usual way, I woke up way earlier than I wanted to, watched Sportscentre and grabbed a bite to eat before coming back to my room to write the previous days blog.
So after I uploaded yesterdays entry I looked at my City Pass ticket to find out what I haven’t done that is near to my hotel, so yesterday morning was spent in the Royal Ontario Museum.

So I decided to treat myself to a lie in this morning, so I didn’t get up until about 10am, have a shower and just relax for the rest of the morning.
What I did forget to do was put the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, I don’t think she really expected to walk in to a room with a guy watching sportscentre in a towel, but by her reaction she may as well have walked in on me watching a very different kind of show.
I made sure I left my hotel with my hood up just in case she saw me again.

We’re three days into the World Cup of Hockey 2016 and so far, it has been pretty exciting and proving doubters (like myself) wrong. They players obviously want to be there and compete, the standard is as high as it should be and the games are as exciting and fiercely contested as any fan would hope for.
With all eight teams playing their first games, Monday night saw day three of the competition mix it up with one game from Group A and the other from Group B.
First on the billing saw the Czech Republic take on Team Europe. The Czechs were brushed aside in their opening game against Canada, losing 6 – 0 while Europe shocked the US with a 4 – 1 victory on Saturday night.
