I said I was going to go back to the Hockey Hall of Fame and I did, mostly because it seemed like everywhere was shut in Toronto on New Years Day.
So I got up and had breakfast, wrote the blog for the day before and left the hotel around 11am to take the 20 minute walk down Yonge Street.

In the latest edition of Across The Pond I revisit a topic I spoke about last month where I predicted that both the Edmonton Oilers and Toronto Maple Leafs would both improve this season but only slightly.
Tonight the 2015 NHL Draft first overall pick Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers take on the 2016 NHL Draft first overall pick Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs face off for the first of two meetings between the sides this season.
Both teams have vastly different experiences early in the 2016-17 season, watch below as I talk about tonight’s meeting at the season ahead.
I hope you enjoyed this latest video, more written content is coming (once this goes up I will be starting a new article).
In the first of hopefully many interviews on this website, I caught up with NIHL 2 team Cardiff Fire Director of Hockey and Head Coach Mark Cuddihy after the teams win over the Wightlink Buccaneers.
The fire remained unbeaten on the season and are looking strong for the rest of the year.
Hope you enjoy.

With a new coach in Peter Deboer, the San Jose Sharks bounced back from missing the playoffs last year, putting up a 46-30-6 record and have now gone on to even better things in the post-season.
When the Stanley Cup Playoffs began back on April 13th, there were 16 teams all competing for the ultimate prize, the Stanley Cup. Now with more and more teams getting eliminated, we finally know who the first team to make the finals is, and for the first time in their history the San Jose Sharks will have the chance to hoist the cup.
The Sharks will take on either the Pittsburgh Penguins or Tampa Bay Lightning in the final, those two teams play their game 7 tonight after Pittsburgh tied the series up at 3 thanks to a big 5 – 2 win two nights ago.
